The Liberal Party in Newfoundland and Labrador has won a majority of the seats in its provincial election, ending 12 years of Progressive Conservative rule. Liberal Leader Dwight Ball repeatedly invoked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's "hope and change" slogan.
