In a speech sure to stoke controversy, King Goodwill Zwelithini of the Zulu nation praised South Africa's apartheid era, saying history would judge black people harshly, since they had failed to build on the successes of the Afrikaner regime, and the king (himself black) said black South Africans "loved to use matches" to burn down infrastructure built during apartheid.
