#RUSSIA: Parliament Considers "Baby Boxes" For Safe, Legal Care Of Abandoned Babies

Vadim Tulpanov, a member of the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house of parliament, has submitted a bill to legalize the use of baby boxes, or incubators for parents who want to leave their newborn babies anonymously, at hospitals and social organizations. Several European nations already have the "boxes," and in the US, it's legal for parents to safely leave children at "safe havens" such as hospitals and fire stations.
