The ruling Unity Labour Party led by Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has retained its slim majority of eight seats to the New Democratic Party opposition’s seven in general elections. However, the ULP has called for a recount in two voting districts, both won by the NDP, whose leader, Arnhim Eustace, by less than 50 votes.
