Rome's unpopular mayor Ignazio Marino on Thursday withdrew his resignation, which he had announced earlier this month in the midst of an expenses row, even though his own party has demanded he quit. Democratic Party member Marino, 60, has signed a letter "by which he withdraws his resignation presented on October 12."
