Lutz Bachmann, founder of Pegida ("Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West") has been charged by state prosecutors in Dresden with incitement to racial hatred for calling recent Muslim refugees names. Germany often prosecutes the political speech of right-leaning organizations and has banned several political parties over the past five decades.
