More than a quarter of the Shadow Labour Party cabinet has resigned in a concerted effort to force the resignation or removal of Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn, whose pro-Remain campaign was seen as "weak" by many. The resignations came the day after Corbyn fired his Shadow Foreign Secretary, Hilary Benn. Nearly every hour since the sacking of Benn, a shadow cabinet member has resigned. Corbyn, however, says he will remain in his position, citing his mandate from voters.
