More than two dozen people have signed up to run for Haiti's presidency, authorities said on Wednesday, including the four leading candidates from an earlier election aborted after a commission found widespread fraud. This is half the number of candidates who contested the last election, making the October 9 election easier to organize. Several politicians who ran last time pledged to support Jude Celestin, who had come in second.
