Nigel Farage, the man who spearheaded the Brexit campaign, is set to relaunch the Brexit Party as the Reform Party, as more and more ordinary Britons begin to doubt Boris Johnson’s ability to maintain order and deliver a suitable Brexit deal.
The Reform Party, which Farage formally registered last December, will seek to abolish the House of Lords, change Britain’s voting system, and to ensure that Boris Johnson delivers a proper Brexit that’s approved by the people who voted for it.

#UK: Shock Poll Shows Brexit Party In First Place For EU Parl. Elections
[world politics news]
After three years of failed attempts to get the UK out of the European Union, the newly launched Brexit Party is topping a recent poll with 27% of the vote, according to the UK polling firm YouGov.
Last week, in its first poll on next month's' EU Parliamentary elections, the firm saw Nigel Farage’s party storming into third place with 15% of the vote, before the Brexit Party had even formally launched.
Now, YouGov's second poll shows the Brexit Party leapfrogging into first place on 27% of the vote, ahead of both the Conservative and Labour Parties.
Farange says it is likely the party will contest British parliamentary elections in the future, as well, a prospect surely to send shockwaves through the Conservative Party establishment.

#UK: Euro Council Pres. Says "Special Place In Hell" For Those Who Pushed Brexit Without A Plan; Unleashes Firestorm
[world politics news]
European Council President Donald Tusk has spoken of a "special place in hell" for "those who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of a plan of how to carry it out safely." He was speaking after talks with Irish leader Leo Varadkar in Brussels. The comments, which he also tweeted from his official EC twitter account, were received with outrage from pro-Brexit Members of Parliament in the UK, some accusing Tusk of arrogance."
Brexit-backing MPs reacted with anger to the comments, accusing Tusk of "arrogance." Prime Minister Theresa May said, after a meeting in Brussels today, that the words were, "not helpful and caused widespread dismay in the United Kingdom." Home Secretary Sajid Javid retweeted Tusk's comments, saying simply, "out of order." Leading Brexiteer Nigel Farage said, "After Brexit we will be free of unelected, arrogant bullies like you and run our own country." Northern Ireland Democratic Unionist Party Leader Arlene Foster said Tusk's comments were "deliberately provocative," and "very disrespectful." Pro-Brexit MP Mark Francois said, "The British people are pretty stubborn and won't be bullied - not even by Donald Tusk."

#UK: Former UKIP Party Leader Farage Plots Return To Politics If Brexit Exit Date Of March 29 Is Missed
[world politics news]
Nigel Farage is making a comeback to politics - as head of a new Brexit Party. The former UK Independence Party leader has decided to end months in the wilderness to fight against what he and many believe to be a "betrayal" of the 2016 referendum that was supposed to take the UK out of the European Union. Organizers will also fight the European elections in May if the PM decides to extend Article 50 and keep Britain in the EU after the departure date of March 29. Farage predicts the party will be a rallying point for 17.4 million disaffected Brexit voters - and could cause devastation to the Conservative and Labour Parties.

#UK: Former UKIP Party Leader Resigns Membership; Says Party "Obsessed" With Islam; Extremist Activism
[world politics news]
Nigel Farage, former leader of the UK Independence Party, has resigned his membership in the organization, saying he no longer "recognizes" the party, which seems overly obsessed with Islam and values extremist activism over winning elections.
Farage cited the move by the party's current leader, Gerard Batten, to make Tommy Robinson an adviser as a prime reason. Farage has used this national show on the LBC network to criticize Robinson, who has been prosecuted for crimes, and for his verbal attacks on Muslims. Robinson, however, has gained a huge following among UKIP members and many Conservatives for his "non-PC" language and actions.
Batten survived a vote of no confidence among his party's executives this past Monday, after he appointed Robinson as an adviser. But the party's ruling body refused to endorse Robinson's appointment and he was barred from party membership.
