#NORWAY: Six Left-Wing Extremists Arrested For Plotting To Disrupt Annual Multi-Party Political Festival

Six left-wing extremists have been arrested at the Arendalsuka ("Arendal Week") political festival accused of plotting attacks on two populist parties, Stop Islamization of Norway (SIAN) and Alliance. Among the plotters arrested was the leader of a Communist group which had encouraged activists to disrupt the event The annual festival, held in the city of the southeastern city of Arendal, "is an annual national forum where delegates from politics, NGOs, industry and the public meet to debate and develop politics for the present and the future," says the event's website.
