Prime Minister Trumbull's Liberal Party seems to have fallen short of the necessary votes needed to form a majority government in parliament, following Saturday's election. Estimates showed Liberals had won 67 seats, nine fewer than the 76 needed to command a majority in the Lower House. While Labor Party Leader Bill Shorten fell short of being able to form even a minority government, but they have staged an amazing comeback that has again highlighted the volatility of modern Australian politics.
