With hostility to the European Union on the rise throughout Europe, groups like the separatist, anti-EU and Anti-Immigration Northern League are gaining strength and popularity. Its new leader, Matteo Salvini, has called for the EU to be "demolished" because he says it hates Italy and its economy.
