#CANADA: Trudeau Taking "Wait And See" Approach To Taliban, Consults Hillary Clinton

At a campaign stop in Markham, ⁦Ontario, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau⁩ mentioned that he consulted ⁦Hillary Clinton⁩ about the situation in Afghanistan and his concern for women and girls. He says his government is taking a “wait and see” approach on the Taliban.

Conservative Party Leader Erin O'Toole, meanwhile, said his government wouldn't recognize the Taliban government.

“A Conservative government will not recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan,” O’Toole said.

#JAPAN: Ambassador To US Says Hillary Clinton "Incorrect" About Currency Criticism

Japan's ambassador to the United States has reacted to criticism of Japan by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Clinton criticized China, Japan and other Asian countries in a local newspaper article, saying they kept their goods artificially cheap for years by holding down the value of their currencies. Ambassador Ken-ichiro Sasae told reporters that including Japan in the statement is "incorrect."

Hawaii Congresswman Tulsi Gabbard has stepped down from her post as vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee to endorse Bernie Sanders' presidential bid. She says Hillary Clinton's views on interventionism and "regime change" prompted her endorsement.

#USA: #MarcoRubio Surges Ahead of GOP Pack In Latest Poll; Walker, Carson Slide

Sen. Marco Rubio is winning the support of 15 percent of Republican primary voters and runs best against Democrat Hillary Clinton, according to a Quinnipiac University National poll. Rubio has 15% Jeb Bush has 13%. Scott Walker and Ben Carson slipped. No other candidate tops 9% and 14% are undecided.
