In yet another blow to Pres. Emmanuel Macron's beleaguered Administration, interior Minister Gerard Collomb has resigned. Collomb, the former mayor of Lyon, resigned to run for his old position once again. He had been a staunch defender of the president's policies, but recently he had been disturbed by allegations that Macron or members of his administration had known in advance that a former bodyguard had beating protesters, wearing a policeman's helmet. Macron's approval ratings have been near 36% recently, following several high-profile resignations from his cabinet.
