#VENEZUELA: Mass Opposition Protests Planned After Referendum On Maduro Recall Denied

The opposition coalition in Venezuela is planning sustained street protests after a ruling by the National Electoral Council not to allow a Referendum on the Presidency of Nicolas Maduro this year. Instead, they are requiring the high hurdle of the signatures of 20% of all voters in each state, and would only allow a referendum late next year. The opposition is seeking the removal of the Maduro's leftist regime as the economy endures a full collapse.
