Uwe Junge, the leader of the Alternative for Germany Party in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate was attacked on the street by a group of young men. According to a police statement, the 58-year-old Junge was punched in the face and then kicked by three young men. Earlier last week, AfD leader Jörg Meuthen was slightly injured when a teenager threw a frozen cake at him while he was attending a political event in Lower Saxony. Meuthen said that if the cake had hit him directly, he would have ended up in hospital.
