European Union envoys warn that the Balkan nation of Macedonia is headed toward a "catastrophe" because of mistrust between the government of Prime Minister Grievski and the Socialist opposition. A source of mistrust is the release earlier this year of wiretapped conversations revealed cronyism, corruption, vote rigging and autocratic practices.
