Controversial Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, this year's head of ASEAN, a group of Southeast Asian nations, says he would push for the inclusion of Turkey and Mongolia in the group, dismissing concerns that they lie in Europe and northern Asia, respectively. Duterte said leaders of Turkey and Mongolia told him about their desire to join the Association of Southeast Asian Nations while they were in China over the weekend for a summit.
