Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban promised to respect EU law after the EU's conservative EPP party's leadership told him during a recent meeting that his attempts to close the Central European University and his open campaign against Brussels were "unacceptable." It's unclear whether this pledge - which followed the contentious meeting - will mean any kind of reversal in policy from Orban.
