A close Merkel ally has said the German chancellor will "convert' misogynistic migrants, and bring them in line with Germany’s more progressive attitudes. Merkel and her Christian Democratic Party are taking a polling hit over their liberal migration policies and numerous rapes of German women attributed to North African and Syrian migrants.
