Alberta's legislature is raising taxes on those making $50,000 or more, as well as taxes on cigarettes, alcohol and gas, and is introducing a new health care fee in July in an effort to deal with sharply lower revenues from the oil industry. Finance Minister Robin Campbell says Alberta will remain the lowest-taxed province in Canada.
