Saying the rise of the anti-Muslim group Pegida - which says Western civilization must be protected from radical Islam - centrist and Leftist German politicians welcomed Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel's decision to meet members of anti-Islam movement. Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said "Pegida doesn't speak for Germany."
