Parliament has voted 51 to 28 to allow same-sex couples to marry, bucking a recent trend against same-sex marriage in Eastern Europe. Slovakia and Hungary banned gay marriage in 2012, Croatian voters rejected it in 2013. In January, Macedonia's parliament voted 72 to 4 to reject same-sex marriage.
