#IRELAND: New Health Insurance Fine Is 2% For Every Year After 34 You Didn't Have It

The Irish government is warning citizens that after May 1, a new penalty for people not getting health insurance will be levied. Those taking out health insurance for the first time will pay an extra 2% levy for every year after the age of 34. A 54-year-old taking out health insurance for the first time after April 39 will have an extra 40% added to their premium each year.
