Six of the 11 members of parliament who formed the Change UK Party (The Independent Group) last month to contest the European elections have left the new party. Only five remain in the Anti-Brexit party.
MP Anna Soubry has become the Leader of the party, which was founded just three months ago and failed to won any seats in the May
EU Parliamentary elections. However, she says they will continue on as a party.
In a statement posted on the party's Twitter account, Soubry wrote: "We registered as a political party to stand in the European elections but it was never our sole purpose. It is vital we continue leading on the fight against a damaging Brexit, pressing for a People’s Vote & being prepared to revoke Article 50."
