#BRAZIL: Judge Gives President 15 Days To Apologize, Pay Fine, For 2014 Election "Rape" Taunt

A judge has ruled that Pres. Jair Bolsonaro must publicly apologize and pay a fine for the "moral offense" of saying, during the 2014 campaign, that a legislator was "too ugly" to rape.

Judge Tatiana Dias da Silva Medina, of the 18th Civil Court of Brasília, set a deadline of 15 days for Bolsonaro to pay R$10,000 (US$2,486) for his comments against federal MP Maria do Rosário. The president will also have to apologize in a newspaper of wide circulation and on social networks.
