North Korea held a national meeting Tuesday marking the 17th anniversary of late leader Kim Jong-il's ascension to power. The nation's current leader, Kim Jong-un, however, was absent from the annual event to commemorate his father, further stirring rumors that he has been overthrown. He has not been seen in public in over a month.
