#KENYA: Teachers Strike Enters 4th Wk; Ruling Pty Rejects Pay Hike; Oppo. Pty Threatens To Impeach President

Ruling Jubilee Party members of parliament on Friday insisted that teachers will not get a pay increase despite a Supreme Court order. The Opposition CORD Coalition threatened to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta. Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki said public sector wages were already 10% of the budget and "unsustainable."
