#TURKEY: Erdoğan Wins Third Term After Winning Runoff

Incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has thanked voters after unofficial results showed him winning Turkey’s first-ever presidential election run-off.

The head of the Supreme Election Council said that Erdogan had won a third term, after the state-run Anadolu Agency had earlier given Erdogan a decisive lead over his rival, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, with nearly all of the votes from Sunday’s election counted.

#FRANCE: Macron Appeals To Voters Ahead Of Final Round Of Elections

French President Emmanuel Macron is appealing to voters to give him a "solid majority" in Sunday's parliamentary polls, warning against adding "French disorder to global disorder."

Macron said that "the months ahead will be difficult" but called for people to back him in the name of "the higher national interest" and "common sense."

The appeal comes after strong gains in the first round of elections for the Right-leaning  Rassemblement National ("National Rally") Party of Marine Le Pen.

#CROATIA: Pres. Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic To Face Runoff

Croatia's tight presidential race will go to a runoff vote in two weeks, after exit polls and initial returns indicated that none of the 11 candidates had won the office outright.

Left-wing politician Zoran Milanovic led the first round of voting with nearly 30% support. President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic had almost 27%, followed by nationalist singer Miroslav Skoro in third place with around 24%.

#LIBERIA: Former Soccer Star George Weah Wins First Democratic Presidential Election Since 1944

Former soccer star George Weah has won Liberia’s presidential election, defeating the vice-president, Joseph Boakai, in a runoff with 61.5% of the vote. Weah will succeed Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as Liberia’s president next month, after an election fraught with accusations of fraud and irregularities. It will be the country's first democratic transition since 1944 and follows two devastating civil wars.
