#ESTONIA: Symbols Supporting Russian Invasion Banned

The Estonian parliament has passed a Bill that criminalizes the use of symbols linked to an act of aggression, such as those supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It is now illegal to openly display symbols linked to the act of aggression, genocide, or a crime against humanity.

#HONGKONG: "Patriotic" Courses To Be Given In Vacant School

A pro-Beijing group in Hong Kong will convert a vacant school into a national education center to showcase teaching models based on patriotism and train students in flag-raising etiquette.
Wong Kam-leung, chairman of the 37,000-strong Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, said on Tuesday the group was given the school premises in Sha Tin by the city's Education Bureau to set up the support center.

#CANADA: In Diplomatic Fight, Saudi Arabia Launches Campaign To Defame Canada's Treatment Of Women

Within hours of Saudi Arabia expelling Canada’s ambassador after Canada's foreign minister criticized the jailing of dissidents in the Kingdom, the country’s broadcasters and pro-government social media accounts launched a propaganda campaign against Canada, in part, attempting to argue that Canada is the "world's worst oppressor of women." This despite PM Trudeau's cabinet being composed of 50% women, and the fact that Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, who leveled the charges, is herself a woman. They also asserted that best-selling Canadian author Jordan Peterson is a political prisoner (he is not) and that the streets of Canada are full of homeless people.

The leader of Italy's populist Five Star Movement party appears rattled by accusations that it is behind a network of fake news sites. A BuzzFeed News investigation which accused the 'anti-establishment' party of being behind a network of blogs and websites spreading propaganda and fake news. Five Star Party founder Beppe Grillo tweeted that "BuzzFeed's inquiry is fake news," and accused traditional media of publishing fake news and pro-Renzi propaganda.
