#DOMINICA: Prime Minister Says He's Tough On Parliament, Ready For General Election

The Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, while filing a nomination for the upcoming general elections stated that he is very tough on the nation's 30-member parliament to do the work they must do to represent people’s interests, and "that’s what we will continue to do after once again winning the general elections." Those elections are scheduled for Dec. 6.

PM also stated that Dominica Labour Party is organized and has programs, agendas and ideas as well as most importantly, labour has a leader.

Saying the nation's pristine environmental reputation is at state, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has warned that polluters will soon feel the full weight of the law, including night courts to prosecute litterers and those who dump illegally. A ban on Styrofoam cups and plastic shopping bags are also possible, he said.
