#DENMARK: People's Party Makes Huge Electoral Gains; Will Form Gov't With Other Right-leaning Parties

Right-leaning Danish People’s Party made huge gains in Denmark's election Thursday. It's part of a consevative "blue bloc"  that won a slender victory over the ruling center-left coalition. Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt resigned as leader of the Social Democrats. Opposition leader Lars Lokke Rasmussen will seek to form a government.

#DENMARK: Far-Right Parties Will Back UK's EU Reform Demands If They Win Election Thursday

A four-party coalition of far-right parties will back UK PM David Cameron's demands for reforms of the European Union if they win Denmark's election Thursday. The traditionally pro-European Liberal Party surprised many by striking the agreement with the eurosceptic Danish People's Party. The coalition is tied in the polls with the ruling Social Democrats.
