Jean-Marie Le Pen says he was taking France's Front National to court over his expulsion from the far-right party he founded more than 40 years ago. The party, now led by his daughter Marine Le Pen, is trying to distance itself from its founder's often anti-semitic, racist and otherwise controversial remarks.

Jean-Marie Le Pen, the controversial National Front founder who was recently suspended from his own party, says he'll start a new "movement." The group won't compete with the party he founded in 1972, but will be "parachute" for disaffected members. His daughter Marine leads the National Front.
