#GABON: Pres. Reinstates VP Office, Appoints PM Raponda

President Ali Bongo Ondimba (PDG, centre) has reinstated the office of Vice President, appointing Prime Minister Rose Christiane Raponda (PDG) to the position. Former minister Alain-Claude Bilie By Nze was named to replace Raponda as PM.

Last year, Ondimas' Gabonese Democratic Party urged him to seek a third 7-year term as president in 2023.
