Romania’s Senate has passed legislation that bans making any reference to gender identity as something distinct from one’s biological gender. It still needs to be signed by the President.
The legislation was added as an amendment to a larger bill on educational policies by the center-Right People’s Movement Party. The Social Democratic Party supported it as well.
