Lim Kit Siang, a leader of the Democratic Action Party (part of the ruling government coalition) has urged the government to consider holding an emergency “virtual” Parliament.
His suggestion came as Malaysia marks its third week of a government-enforced movement control order (MCO) to break the chain of COVID-19 infections across the country.
Other legislative bodies around the world are contemplating a similar move, as they adapt to the new circumstances caused by COVID-19.
