#HUNGARY: Leftist, Right-Leaning Parties To Unite Against Ruling Fidesz Party For Municipal Elections

Several very different opposition parties will work together, fielding single candidates in three important municipal elections in October.

The disparate parties, which include the Hungarian Socialist Party, the liberal Democratic Coalition Party, the Left-leaning Politics Can Be Different Party, the Momentum Party, and the Right-leaning Jobbik Party, have struggled to come together in the past, but opposition to the ruling Fidesz Party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
