The president of Venezuela's Constituent National Assembly is accusing Angelina Jolie of being a CIA agent after the award-winning actress concluded her trip to Peru to meet with refugees who have fled the once prosperous South American nation.
"They are agents of imperialism, the CIA, the Pentagon, all of those entities that imperialism has to act and place a tear that runs in rivers for the world to believe that ... they have touched the heart of a Hollywood star," Diosdado Cabello said during his weekly television program.
Cabello, a key figure under the Hugo Chavez regime and who has been at the head of the country's Chavez-created "Constituent Assembly" since 2012, offered no evidence to support his claims about Jolie.
