Denmark’s Social Democrats will not seek to form a coalition government with long-time ally the Social Liberal Party in the event that the current opposition wins the next general election, says Social Democrat Party Leader Mette Frederiksen. The change breaks a 25-year agreement between the two parties to form coalitions together, in part because Social Democrats' increasingly anti-immigrant, populist outlook has drawn rebukes from the Social Liberals and other Left-leaning parties.
