Labor leader and Opposition Leader Isaac Herzog was dealt a crushing blow in his party's primaries on Tuesday, ending up in third place after rivals MK Amir Peretz and newcomer Avi Gabai. Peretz and Gabai will face off in a second primary round next Monday to decide who will be Labor's next leader. The ballot brought a relatively high voter turnout, with 30,998 of Labor's 52,505 members (59%) exercising their right to vote.
