Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi hailed Monday a sweeping constitutional reform to which he has attached his political future, ahead of a final vote on the measure by the lower chamber of parliament. The package strengthens central executive powers at the expense of the legislature and local administrations in the hope of giving Italy steadier governance.
