Egyptian journalists staged a demonstration Monday at the headquarters of the Press Syndicate, calling for freedom of the press and the release of 32 detained journalists, the detention of which the group says is unconstitutional. The Syndicate filed 13 complaints at the prosecutor general’s office detailing alleged acts of torture inflicted on journalists while in custody.
