#INDIA: Western State Enacts Anti-Terror Law Making Tapped Cell Conversations Admissible Evidence

The Gujarat Assembly has passed an anti-terrorism and organized crime bill allowing conversations obtained by cell phone wire taps and confessions to low-level police officials admissible in court. Three previous versions of the bill have been rejected by national presidents. The opposition Congress Party staged a walk-out opposing the legislation.
