Following in the footsteps of Pope Francis in calling out the Turkish Ottoman's role in the 1915 genocide in which 1.5 million Armenians were killed, the European Parliament has recognized the event on its anniversary. The move is controversial in Turkey, where the killings aren't acknowledged as "genocide."
