A strange alliance of Green Party legislators and those of the ruling Christian Democratic Union are seeking to regulate and legalize cannabis. Economic policy spokespeople Joachim Pfeiffer of the CDU and Dieter Janecek of the Greens say that it no longer makes sense to criminalize possession of or trading in the drug.
