Accusing its president Sayed Al-Badawi of "authoritarian" actions, 1,200 members of the liberal Al-Wafd Party, including eight board members, withdrew their confidence in him at a mass meeting Friday. They accuse him of hiding the party's budget and hiring private security to keep non-allies out of party headquarters.
