Malcolm Turnbull has ousted Tony Abbott as leader of the Liberal Party in a 54-44 vote, and will become Australia's 29th prime minister. Turnbull, unlike Abbott, supports efforts to combat climate change and legalizing gay marriage. Abbott's poll numbers had been weak, prompting the leadership challenge.
