Sweden's finance minister is taking credit for a second year of budget surpluses in the Scandinavian nation. The Swedish government's fiscal forecast for 2016 shows the country's public coffers are operating at a surplus this year, for a second year running. Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson recently presented the Ministry of Finance's latest economic and public finances forecast at a news conference, noting confidently, "We have had me as finance minister for two years, and we have had a surplus in public finances for two years." It is unclear whether Andersson is seeking higher office.
