#BRAZIL/BREAKING: Suspended By Senate After Impeachment Vote, Pres. Rousseff Defiant Against "Coup"

[world politics news]

After Brazil's senate voted 55 to 22 to suspend Pres. Dilma Rousseff for up to 180 days and put her on trial for corruption, she vowed to fight the charges, saying she "may have made mistakes but I did not commit any crime." Rousseff, Brazil’s first female president, will be judged by senators. Vice President Michel Temer, who has become an outspoken opponent of Rousseff, has taken power as acting president.
