TV star and candidate for Conservative Party Leader Kevin O'Leary refused to attack his 13 opponents during a Halifax debate this past weekend, saying he instead said he had gotten a "wonderful welcome," and thought there was "no need" to fight back against the many barbs sent his way. The debate touched on corporate taxation, the economy, mandatory minimum sentencing and the carbon tax. O'Leary, a perceived front-runner, was criticized for the amount of time he spends in the U.S., for giving money to the Liberal party and for being a "celebrity" candidate.
